Folding paper napkins – directions

The cloth napkins have been used for centuries … The paper napkins, however, did not arrive until 1887, when John Dickenson introduced them to his company in the United States at the annual dinner. This happened around the same time as the facial tissues and toilet paper were being introduced. It was all about a true paper revolution. However, the paper napkins in the American households were not really popular until the 1950s. Now they are used to a far greater extent than the cloth napkins, much to the chagrin of the two traditionalists and environmentalists.
Folding paper napkins is a popular tradition at all events. However, paper napkins are a budget-friendly substitute. With the right patterns and patience, the plain paper napkins look nice too. Folding the paper napkin designs for an event would be a great way to make a bold statement.

The preference of paper in front of the cloth napkins gives the host a greater variety of napkin-folding choices. Paper napkins are easy to fold, making it relatively easy to create complicated designs. Before choosing a napkin folding technique, the hosts must check that the napkin rings and cutlery are part of the design.

Folding paper napkins – wedding

Wedding napkins designs are, by tradition, simple but elegant. Triple folding is the most common napkin folding variation at wedding parties because it holds a fork, a knife and a spoon together with a fresh twig or dainty flower.

The napkin folders require a 16-square inch paper napkin to create a fold design. First the napkin is folded in half, then again in half to create a smaller square. Then the napkin is rolled back, starting with the top layer until it is barely over the center of the napkin. The same happens with the second and third layers. Finally, the right and left sides are put together to create a clean and finished look. The cutlery is put in the produced folds.

Fold a black or dark colored large square paper napkin in one-third, then fold the corners of one end toward the center. Smooth the opposite section along this fold. Then adjust the right corner with the upper right corner to create a diamond shape. The hosts fold the napkin corners, turn them and a tassel adds the finishing touches.

The birthday party planners start by unfolding a normal paper napkin to enlarge them. Then fold the four corners three times towards the middle to create a small square. After turning the napkin, the four corners fold back towards the middle. Finally, place the napkin over a paper cup and turn each layer down to make the “petals” and give the same napkin a bowl shape. To get a different look, the party planners replace the candy with a mini Yankee candle.

Paper napkins are folding at Christmas

Napkins that have been folded in Christmas techniques add a festive charm to every table. Mini Christmas trees made from green paper napkins are the perfect complement to any celebration event.

Napkin rings are like jewelry for napkins; they add glitter and shine. A napkin hidden in a Christmas napkin ring and folded in an accordion looks just like a Christmas tree. The ring must be positioned at the top of the bandage to make the lace.

event napkins

The paper napkin color must meet the occasion. White or cream napkins are the best choice for formal events, while colored napkins give a festive touch. If the host chooses a paper napkin color, he must consider the guest preferences, the season and the level of formality of the event.
The color of paper napkins can add different moods to an event. That’s why the right choice is of the utmost importance. The matching napkin color gives a uniform and consummate look to the rest of the decor as well.
